Pretty Oxfordshire village setting
Watchfield is easy to reach on the main Oxford A420 road and is renowned for the Defence Academy of Great Britain stationed in the village. There are five old English pubs serving lunch food including the next door village of Shrivenham. Watchfield is also famous for its five giant wind turbines that can be seen from the White Horse and miles around!
Alba House is situated on Lysander Crescent and the local streets are named after RAF planes and the former Arnhem Camp and airfield that the houses were built on. The wind turbines roughly align to the position of the former airfield. Alba House is easy to get to and enjoys plenty of nearby parking. For sunny days, there is a large outside garden which we enjoy for the tea break and practicing conversation!
The Italian Experience days have a maximum of 5 (so it is never too crowded) and your learning opportunity is ideal.
